Dr. Destiny Novakovic is a licensed psychologist who has a mission to empower children and young adults to reach their full potential through clinically grounded, evidence-informed psychological care. As the founder of Nova Psychological Center, she provides assessment, therapy, and consultation services to support individuals. Dr. Novakovic is dedicated to fostering growth, resilience, and well-being in every client she serves.

Dr. Novakovic provides evaluations for developmental, behavioral and social-emotional conditions. These include Autism Spectrum Disorder, Global Developmental Delay, Attention-deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, Depression, Anxiety and more.

SOLUTION FOCUSED THERAPY

Dr. Novakovic provides therapy for children and young adults experiencing a variety of emotional, behavioral, and developmental challenges. Treatment focuses on building skills, improving daily functioning, and fostering healthy growth.

01. Children And Adolescents

Evaluations for children and adolescents with a wide range of learning, developmental, and emotional needs. Designed to help families better understand their child’s strengths, challenges, and the supports that may help them thrive.

02. Neurodivergence among Women

Many girls and women who are neurodivergent develop ways of adapting to social expectations, which can sometimes lead to misdiagnosis or delayed understanding of their experiences. Evaluations focus on understanding social, sensory, and developmental differences to provide clarity and supportive recommendations.

03. BIPOC Communities

As a member of the BIPOC community myself, I understand how systemic challenges and cultural context can shape how neurodivergence is experienced and recognized. Evaluations are conducted with care and cultural awareness to better understand each person’s strengths and support needs.

Payment

Our team is in-network with Aetna, Cigna, and Carelon. Private pay options are also available.

Standard out of pocket fees for services are the following:

  • Mood and Anxiety Evaluation ($400)
  • ADHD Evaluation ($600)
  • Autism Evaluation ($1000)
  • Comprehensive Evaluation ($1300)
  • Therapy Session ($200/hour)

Psychologist & Owner

Dr. Destiny Novakovic is a licensed psychologist and the founder of Nova Psychological Center. She received her Ph.D. in School Psychology from the University of South Florida and specializes in pediatric psychology.

Through her education and career, she has supported families in schools, community behavioral health clinics, primary care offices, and hospitals in Florida, Nebraska, and Ohio.

She has conducted hundreds of comprehensive evaluations and provided individual and family therapy for children and adolescents, addressing autism, behavioral conditions, learning challenges, and mood and anxiety disorders. In addition, Dr. Novakovic is certified in Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) and has advanced expertise in supporting families navigating disruptive behaviors.

Alongside her hospital and university roles, Dr. Novakovic founded Nova Psychological Center to increase access to high-quality behavioral health care services and make evidence-based psychological care available to families across the nation. With a deep commitment to children and families, she strives to ensure her families feel supported and has the opportunity to reach their full potential.

Do you offer virtual or in-person appointments?

We are a virtual practice. How long does it take to complete an evaluation and receive a report?

Most evaluations can be completed within a few weeks, depending on how quickly questionnaires and other materials are completed and returned. Once the evaluation is finished, the report is typically ready within about 2 weeks. This gives us enough time to review all results carefully and provide a report that is thorough, personalized, and includes practical recommendations.
