Our
Psychological
Process

01. Consultation Call

Brief phone consultation to discuss your family’s presenting concerns and goals for treatment. We will collaborate to determine the most appropriate plan and next steps.

02. Intake Paperwork

Families complete electronic intake and consent forms to share background information, review confidentiality, and acknowledge practice policies. This step helps ensure families understand the process and know what to expect in care. Once paperwork is completed, families are able to schedule their first appointment.

03. Diagnostic Assessment

This appointment gathers detailed background information such as developmental history, medical and school experiences, family dynamics, and current concerns. Rating scales are also provided to help collect more information about your child.

04. For Assessments – Feedback Session

In the final step, Dr. Novakovic meets with families to review evaluation results, discuss relevant diagnoses, and explain how the findings relate to the child’s strengths and areas for potential growth. Families receive a detailed written report with recommendations to support progress at home, school, and in the community. Dr. Novakovic also provides assistance with navigating the recommendations outlined in the evaluation report. Services may also include support in accessing special education resources, social services, therapeutic interventions, and community programs.
